With great skills comes great responsibilities.  At a very young age back in my home country Trinidad & Tobago, I used to help my mother in her Hair Salon. I would watch how she would cut her clients hair. I would spend most of my after school time at her shop. This is where my passion for this industry began. As I grew older, I started experimenting on my friends and family hair. Made lots of mistakes along the way but also learned a lot of lessons. Overtime, I kept getting better and better at it. I then ventured out of my mother’s hair salon and started working with some of the top barbers in Trinidad. Whereby I learned to cut all kinds afro Indian ethnic type hair and how to perform the sickest fades and line designs.

My passion kept growing and growing. I found myself wanting to pursue a career becoming a professional barber. Although my parents wanted me to pursue higher education. I simply found happiness in what I can bring to this industry. I would travel to New York back and forth helping out a very good friend of mines at his barber shop. He gave me the opportunity to cut 1000s of clients, at this point in my life. I mastered every technique in the books. I felt more confident that I can challenge myself to do pretty much anything customers asked for. My skills and confidence just kept growing and growing. In 2019, the pandemic hit us all hard. Few days prior to travel restrictions, I travelled to New York once again but could not go back to my home country. I left the New York to move to Canada to stay with my family so that I can be surrounded by the people I love most.

When I arrived in Canada, After a while of not being able to work. I finally got a job opportunity to work for one of the most high in demand prestigious Hair Salon/Barber shops in all of Montreal city,  Salon Deauville Au Masculin. I started working there and a short while after, Deauville Au Masuclin started getting me more and more clients under my books. I give special thanks to my boss Claudia for believing in me and helping me get my start here in Canada. From here at Deauville Au Masculin, I will continue to  cut as many clients hair as possible. I always say that I am not motivated by money but rather motivated by passion. I am in this for the love of the work and to see a smile on each of our customers face when I am done with their hair cut. 

My life goals and dreams is to become a Celebrity Barber. Travelling around the world and doing what I love best. Hopefully someday someone really famous will hire me for a gig making me a celebrity barber. lol…God willing .
